Rob Evan We had seen Rob when he was in a National Tour of "Les Miserables" and in the original tour of "Jekyll and Hyde" as well. He is a wonderfully warm and friendly man who we finally met in April of 1998 when he was starring as Jekyll/Hyde in the two weekly matinees. After Robert Cuccioli left the show, Rob took over the lead for the evening shows. The night this picture was taken, Rob was filling in for Robert, who had become ill a day or so earlier. By the next night, Rob was out sick also. (Which is how we saw and met Frank Mastrone!) Anyway, this is one of my very favorite photos, because I have "occasionally" been "accused" of "attacking" and hugging everyone I meet - (which I suppose IS true) - however, hopefully this particular photo will dispel that notion somewhat! :-) Note: This photo is especially for my friend and Rob Evan fan, Diane :-)
It turns out that Rob is quite a "hugger" too! (and a darn good one at that!) (I'm sure you won't believe it, but I had no idea this even happened until I got home and saw the picture!) How is this connected to Michael? Well now, there IS a connection! We have been *debating* the merits of Rob vs. Robert for years with our good friends Diane and Rich Stangle, who we met through Ballfesting finally, after corresponding for a long time - after first "meeting" on the original MB amulation list. Okay - it's a stretch, but then, we are told Michael also saw J&H while in NYC in 1998 - so obviously we have the same taste in musicals :-)
