Toliver Reynolds

Tolliver Reynolds was born February 5, 1807 in Tennessee. Tolliver first married Betsy Commons on September 25, 1828. His second marriage was to Elizabeth Anne Lewis who was born on the 14th day of January 1815 in Kentucky. Tolliver and Elizabeth were married August 15, 1835 in Garrard County, Kentucky. Tolliver Reynolds died on April 5, 1892 in Greene County, Illinois. He is buried in the Carter cemetery, located just south of Carrollton, Illinois on route 267. Tollivers' mothers first name was Ruth, as yet we have not determined his fathers' name or his mothers' last name. Elizabeth Anne Lewis Reynolds died March 5, 1895 in Carrollton, Greene County, Illinois and is also buried in the Carter cemetery.

Census Note: Ruth (unknown) Reynolds, the mother of Toliver Reynolds is listed in 1830, 1840 and 1850 Kentucky Federal Census. In the 1850 census she was 68 years old and said she was born in Pennsylvania
The Patriot ~ April 4, 1912 (20 years ago 1892) Tolliver Reynolds died (5 April 1892) and was buried at the Carter Cemetery, south of Carrollton.
The Patriot ~ March 8, 1895 ~ Mrs Elizabeth Reynolds died at her home near the east end of Maple Avenue Tuesday night (5 March 1895). She was the mother of Mrs. Abram Stone and of Joseph and Miss Bettie Reynolds. Rev. J. J. Reader conducted the funeral service at the house yesterday afternoon.
