 2000 FIAT Coupe
"Passion and Speed Go Hand in Hand" --Kayjey
It's a terrible injustice that we are only able to show you just one angle of this car.  The front, side and back are all equally beautiful.  About six months ago, I saw a segment on Speedvision about this Italian looker.  They said the design elements made one think about many cars they had seen before, as if the Coupe was a cummulation of many cars.  I disagree.  Just since I've been researching this car, I've noticed design details in other cars that look as if they were the ones to borrow from FIAT.  Ford Motor Company's Cougar looks to have borrowed from the Coupe, and so does the Pontiac Sunfire.  It also looks as if GM took a hint and incorporated the Coupe's unusual taillight configuration into the new Monte Carlo.  Sadly enough, FIAT hasn't imported to the US since 1988, so the only way most of us will ever see, let alone drive a FIAT Coupe is by picking up a copy of Gran Turismo 2 for the Playstation.
The owner of the Coupe pictured above runs a website devoted to this fine piece of automotive machinery.  When I asked him to tell me a little more about the Coupe, I got a paragraph-long romantic narrative in return.  He is truly passionate about his ride, calling it a car for drivers and admirers, a car for male or female, a car for anyone who wants a car they can become, not just drive.  "It's a piece of art," he tells me. "Part of the designer's soul, complemented with state-of-the-art technology to deliver a car that is both strikingly beautiful and strikingly fast.  A car in which you can feel the heart that goes into any Italian thoroughbred sports car.  It expresses your taste as well as your love for cars."
Kayjey is even more passionate when he describes what it is like to drive the Coupe.  He says the more you drive it fast, the more you enjoy the feeling of being pushed back in the seat by the fierce acceleration.  You look forward to every "twist and straight" in the road, because driving the Coupe is passion.

Sadly enough, shortly after this article was originally published in late 2000, Kayjey was forced to part with his Coupe..... he still loves the Coupe, and still runs his Coupe website.
