Mother can reveal. She sent a fax to the festival comitee just
a few hours before the press conference in London. According to Pet Shop
Boys, who organized the event, Sinéad is contracted to appear on
Wotapalava,
however according to a statement Sinéad made to allirelandmusic.com,

Pet Shop Boys frontman Neil Tennant
said that they are negotiating with Sinéad for some selected dates,
but there's still no concrete information concerning on which dates she
will appear or if she will appear at all.

or not is uncertain, but here it is anyway:
Hello
I am Sinead
O'Connor
A close friend
of mine informed me about this group, where friends and fans chat and share
their thoughts. I must confess, the internet isn't my strongest point,
but my friend has helped me send you this short note of thanks.
It is good
to be able to have a form of communication with you all, and whilst I will
not be able to follow the group in its entirety, I thought it was right
to acknowledge its existence and to thank you all warmly for your support.
I hope you continue to enjoy my work
Love and respect
always

WALSH LAUDS
FAITH AND COURAGE |
May 20,
2001 : Sunday : Handed by Kai Chai |
Pop reviewer Jim Walsh wrote the
following about Sinéad's Faith And Courage, explaining why
he thinks it is the best album of the year 2000:
My favorite
record of the year didn't get a single mention (OutKast, PJ Harvey, and
Radiohead were the top vote-getters), so I'm printing my comment about
it here,
because it bears repeating: Sinead O'Connor's important, huge record "Faith
and Courage" was the most intimate listening experience I had all year,
but given the nonreaction it was met with, I felt like I had it all by
my lonesome. She sang about praying, about striving for inner peace, and
in doing so, she sounded like a prophet in the eye of the chaos. But she
also sounded desperate, like she had figured out some important stuff that
she wanted to share with us, and we shrugged. Shame on us.

WILLIAM
PETERSEN'S DREAM PARTNER |
May 20,
2001 : Sunday : Handed by Kai Chai |
Actor William Petersen revealed
in a 1998 interview that he would pick none other than Sinéad to
co-star with him on his dream project, Camelot. Click here to read the
entire article.
MAN WHO
WOULD BE KING PICKS GUINEVERE
April 24,
1998 - Chicago Sun-Times
By Bill
Zwecker
Guess what
part William Petersen is dying to play? Would you believe King Arthur in
"Camelot"? The actor had fun ribbing Goodman Theatre Artistic Director
Robert Falls Wednesday night as key Goodman supporters began celebrating
next Tuesday's groundbreaking for the theater's new Loop home. At an Arts
Club of Chicago kickoff party, Falls was somewhat skeptical about a "Camelot"
production at the Goodman, but he good-naturedly quipped, "And you know
who Billy wants as his Guinevere?" "Sinead O'Connor?" Petersen exclaimed.
"Who cares if she can act? I can act around
her. But can
she sing...What a voice!".... If a Goodman "Camelot" ever would happen,
"I'd have to
direct it,
just to make sure I'd get that dark, warped perspective into it," Falls
said with a wonderfully
wicked laugh....

SINÉAD
APPEARS ON RTE ANNIVERSARY |
May 14,
2001 : Monday : Handed by Caroline |
Sinéad appeared at RTE's 45th
anniversary concert in Dublin and sang four live numbers: The Healing
Room, If U Ever, Thief Of Your Heart and Spinning
Wheel. Highlight of the set was probably Spinning Wheel, an
old Irish song Sinéad sang for the very first time.
During her performance, Sinéad
was accompanied by Maurice Seezer on the piano and also joined by Gavin
Friday for a duet on Thief Of Your Heart, which Friday co-wrote
with Bono and Seezer. An insider info says that there was talk of the three
writing new songs for Sinéad, but nothing is certain at this point.
Universal
Mother has the songs as MP3's, but due to technical problems you'll
have to wait a bit till you get them here.
