Latest Sinéad song,
A
Lullaby For Cain, can be found on The Talented Mr. Ripley soundtrack.
The song was composed by the Oscar winning composer Gabriel Yared while
lyrics were penned by the director, Anthony Minghella.

Sinéad is currently
living in London again, probably back from Atlanta where she did some recordings
for her new album. Last month she was reported to suffer from a sea-food
poisoning, on which you can read an article in the articles
section.

New James
album Millionaires is out, including a song called Vervaceous
which features some delicate vocals by Sinéad! There are also two
other tracks; Surprise and Afro Lover, which many fans claim that they
include some Sinéad vocals, too. This hasn't been confirmed by the
band so far, though. The single Just Like Fred Astaire (Part One)
also includes a b-side called I Defeat, which is a duet between Sinéad
and the James frontman Tim Booth.

Some further news on the
long-awaited new Sinéad album: The first recordings for the album
had started in 1998, with Dave Steward as the producer and co-writer. Then
it was reported that she was also working with the ambient genius Brian
Eno, who is known for his outstanding works with U2, James and many other
bands. There are some other names rumoured to be producing the album, though:
Cameron McVey (producer for Massive Attack), Andrian Sherwood (producer
for Bim Sherman, Primal Sream and Depeche Mode) and Kevin Briggs (producer/songwriter
for TLC, Destiny's Child and Mariah Carey). Additionally, according to
a reggae newsgroup, Bim Sherman is one of the co-writers for the album.
In one of her recent appearances on TV, Sinéad described her new
album to be "sexier" than her early work! According to a British paper,
who printed an article on Sinéad back in summer, the name of the
album is I Thought You Were Lost.
-
Several articles back in
summer had reported that Sinéad was pregnant with her third child
from the Irish journalist Neil Michael. A recent piece reported that she
had a miscarriage.
-
It is still very uncertain
what will happen to the song Them Belly Full (But We Hungry), which
Sinéad recorded live over the Internet for War
Child organisation. The song is not featured on the charity album in
aid of War Child, No Boundaries - A Benefit For Kosovar Refugees.
