The Afro Celt Sound Sound
System album, Volume 2: Release, in which Sinéad sings the title
song, is nominated for a Grammy in the world music category. It's highy
probable that the song Release is going to be released as a single in the
first week of March. An edit version of the song can also be found on the
soundtrack to the movie, Stigmata.

In a recent Melody Maker interview, engineer/producer
Alan Branch has revealed that he's been involved in the new Sinéad
album. Branch, who described Sinéad as "lovely and easy to work
with," said that they did some very emotional songs and there were even
times when she was in tears while recording.

Ash Howes has engineered/mixed some tracks for
Sinéad's new album. Howes is known for his previous works with All
Saints, Texas, Eurythmics and Faithless.

Great news concerning the
new Sinéad album: A spokesperson from Atlantic
Records said that the album is due to release on May 23, 2000. Although
the company hasn't received anything from Sinéad yet, that's the
scheduled release date. Let the countdown begin!

An Irish tabloid recently
reported that Sinéad is going out with Dermott Hayes, who wrote
a book on her back in 1991, entitled So Different.
