About Us
Our dogs are very much part of our families. They spend time inside, but do have to mind their manners! They have learned not to chew anything except their toys and bones. They have their own "toy chest" which they know contains their things. And, they stay off the furniture! However, they spend a lot of time around us and are great hosts when friends come over.
They also get a lot of exercise. Corky has hip dysplasia and actually moderate exercise is good for him. Murphy and Windy spend several hours a week training for hunting tests, which involves long swims, often up to 100 yds. and multiple marks at times over 100 yds. They eat premium food, which is good for their coat, digestion, and well-being.
Whenever possible they also socialize with other dogs, which is helpful to keep a balanced personality. The SunRider Retrievers all have wonderful temperaments and are great company to all of us.
