The most important element
of any multi-paged web site is its navigation.
This template has several
different ways to move around, some obvious, some not so obvious.
There are three sets of
menus:
There are other
navigation elements beside just those menus:
Each page title
(e.g. "Navigation" at the top of this page) links back to the "next
level up" or homepage for that section. Therefore, you can always back
yourself out of a section quickly and easily by using the page titles.
There are some pages
with vertical navigation elements. These are usually "long" or "tall"
pages that have a separate menu at the very top of the main content page
sometimes called a "page menu." Clicking on the "page menu" will hop you
down the page to the area where that information is found, which usually
has its own title. Clicking on the title for that area will bring you
back up to the page menu for further browsing.
Within the left
departmental menu, the department's name at the top of the menu in the
serif font, is hyperlinked back to that department's homepage.
The combination of all
these navigation elements will insure that no one will get lost and
everyone will be able to quickly find their way around. |
