This is the included page
that has the departmental identifier on it. For consistency, it's
important that the user can always look at the same place in each page to
know where they are.
This "logo.htm"
page has only a table that is 380 pixels wide, 0 spacing, 0 padding with a
departmental title GIF image that is a clear gif, created with Photoshop,
using 102,0,102 RGB colored Penumbra Serif 14 pt text. These departmental
logos are available from the public relations department here at Whittier.
They are also kept in a special LOGOS folder on the main web site.
The resulting
departmental GIF image is usually between 300 and 800 bytes in file size.
Each department name
begins with WHITTIER COLLEGE as in WHITTIER COLLEGE ACADEMIC AFFAIRS.
Sometimes, this doesn't all fit on one line so we need to use a second one
occasionally.
Again, it's important
to the functioning of the template that the font and size stays consistent
so the user doesn't think they have landed somewhere else. |
