REBELLION-HARTS HOUND
FLIES WITH INDIANA STATE POLICE
Rebellion-Harts
The Conquest, a.k.a. Scooter, works with Officer Todd Rees of the Hamilton
County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana. At 13 months old, Scooter tracked down a
burglary suspect in a very high profile case. Upon hearing of her success and
her abilities as a mantrialer, the Indiana State Police decided to see if she
was capable of traveling with them, via helicopter, to assist with some of
their more difficult cases. Scooter took to the helicopter without a blink and
passed her “flying test” with flying colors. In addition to working with the
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Scooter and
officer Todd Rees now assist the Indiana State Police whenever they are
needed.
REBELLION BLOODHOUNDS ON TV
The
Rebellion Bloodhounds, including Lil'Man, Baby, Lucky, Rebel, Elvis and three
other friends, Fannie, Mertis and Bay, became professional actors, joining the
Nike Fun Police in a commercial which aired during the NBA Championship Games
in 1998. It was a long day of shooting,
but the hounds were all troopers, lazing around in the sun during breaks, and
providing the occasional comic relief during filming. For a group of novices,
the hounds worked hard and paid attention. In fact, they were all so well
behaved (?!?!?!) that the director kept adding them to more and more scenes.
Despite some initial nervousness on the part of the players, (who included
Kevin Garnett, Keith Van Horn, and Bug to name a few) the sweet tempers and sad
eyes won them over by the end of the day.
Additionally,
the following spring, Lil’man became a political tool in the Georgia governor’s
race. Unfortunately, he picked the
wrong candidate to back. And this past fall,
Lil’man, Rebel and Baby became the official mascots for Turner South
Television. They are featured in the
holiday, station identification spots for the network.
