Autolycus the King of Thieves and Salmoneus the Salesman of the Gods have just been framed for the murder of the King. In order to escape execution they decide to "blend in" with the local dancing girls. The Widow Twanky invites them into her troop of Toe Tapping Tulips. Mayhem begins when the dead King's brother falls for Sallmonella and and Autolycus starts to parade around as an esquire, wooing the Tulip, Cupcake.
