My roommate Juli was dating Matt's roommate Dave and they were having a Crawfish Boil one evening. We went together and spent the afternoon playing hackey sack. Matt was the one boiling the crawfish so he stayed pretty busy preparing things as his roommates were cleaning the house. As the party went on later into the night I made it known that I was very interested in getting to know Matt a little better. I made considerable efforts to be near him and start up a conversation. Later in the evening everyone decided to move the party to Greenville Avenue. Matt ran to his room to put on some cologne in an effort to mask the smell of crawfish. When he came out I tried not to laugh, the cologne only intensified the smell!! Anyway, they had all left and it was just Matt & his roommate Carlos. Matt offered to take me home and I told him I would stay awhile. I wanted to seize this opportunity! We fell asleep on the couch and eventually everyone came back and Juli and I went home. I did not get to say goodbye. As it turns out Matt got my number from Dave and he called me the next day. And the rest is...history. We agreed to meet at his house since I worked near him at the time. He planned on going to Taco Cabana for dinner. Gee, way to impress a girl, huh? I thought, no way, and suggested we go to Snuffers, to which he agreed. (Their cheddar fries are the best!!) We then rented a movie and just hung out and talked. We made another date for the following weekend. Snuffers is now our favorite place to eat.
