In the ancient world, nothing was so potent and magical as a wild animal. Cats was the most revered. In ancient Egypt, cats were sacred to Bast (Pasht), the catheaded goddess of pleasure. Great powers was attriuted to this cat deity, including a special kinship with the moon and the sun. Golden temples and statues were erected to the goddess of light, heat and energy. She was the most beautiful of all.

Cats were domesticated about 2000BC. CATS, from domestic felines to lions, tigers, jaquars, became cult objects in China, the Near East, Egypt and the Americas. The epitome of sleek swiftness during the hunt, cats exhibit a godlike self possession in repose. The most secret and subtle creature of all.

Black cats brings bad luck or belong to witches.
Cats brings sickness and sucks away the breath of babies.
Cats causes baldness.

Cats does not come when called - they come when they feel like it.
They make devine music - specially at night.

Please do not watch a cat going to toilet, they get very embarassed.
They have wonderful strong personalities.
They are moody, aritocratic and proud.
