Enjoy the life story of Wilf Carter "Canada's Singing Cowboy" with a screening of Tom Radford's one-hour documentary, "The Last Round Up." Then partake in an old fashioned sing-along and view some of John Duke's collection of Wilf Carter memorabilia. Admission $5.00.

Saturday to Monday, August 5-7

Edmonton Heritage Festival 2000 - 25th Anniversary. World's Largest Celebration of Cultural Diversity "A Canadian Tapestry of Culture" at Hawrelak Park featuring a history exhibit at the new Heritage Pavilion. The history of immigration to northern Alberta from the 1800s to the present will be explored through stories, pictures and artifacts. Free admission to Hawrelak Park.

Old Strathcona residents and filmmakers Terri Wynnyk, Russell Mulvey and David Balcon, look at how renewing the past has turned this district into one of Edmonton's most attractive places to live, shop and visit and the cost of that success. Produced with the assistance of the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation, the NFB and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.

Grand Trunk Pacific was the railway which constructed the Hotel Macdonald.
