Hard Day Turns into Night--by F'Nor

I must say, the last few days have been extremely busy. Chasing down clues, searching for answers and even trying to stop various acts of heniousness.

It all came to a head, when Martel Navarre, visited us at the Glade, Avalon Glades ya know. He's still trying to find his Brother Jayrd, turned Dark Knight by the Elder. Now Jayrd's supposed to be one of the strongest Dark Slayer beasts there are. Martel relayed as much information has he could so we could aid him in his search.

Martel goes of searching in one direction, whilst we gathered up a few folks and started our own searching.

We found Jayrd in Bucs Den. He was under some extreme pressure trying to hold back the Urge. He said, that where ever he goes, that death, and the undead crop up. Which we had already seen, by the number of undead things walking about Bucs Den.

Jayrd gave us some ideas on what and how we may help cure him. Of course he knows that it would mean his death. He seemed to hold a bit of Honor and Compassion still in his tortured soul, for he knew the "Cure" would kill him. (Which we later passed on to Martel).

When the urge's became almost unbearable, Jayrd took up refuge else where, safer for him and others.

While we finished cleaning up Bucs Den, we came across a Pirate named Donnel, who was a deckhand on the Red Tide III, which Jayrd used for transportation to Bucs Den. He relayed a lot of information concerning Jayrd, his Captain, Duncan the pirate, and things going on there. Basically just speculations on what and why Duncan was doing the "chores" he was for a Baron.

As we were preparing to bed down for the night, Jayrd came to us at our Glade. He was very edgy, and was after the "item" that would help cure him. When we advised we where still looking for it with all haste, he became aggitated and left to his seclusion.

We arranged to try and meet Duncan the next few days, but his trail grew cold.

We crossed paths with Martel the next day, and we swapped information. It was during this conference, that Martel spoke of his untrust for the Priates of the Red Tide and their doings. Gave us advise of extreme caution when dealing with them, and their lot.

Demi then saw Spyte sneaking around and we cornered him. He's one busy little man. He had found the final port the Red Tide had pulled into, and gave us information he knew of that. Also, he was able to "sneak" aboard, with minor difficulties, and acquire one of the Ships Logs. The Log had some very interesting information, which was copied and delivered to the Justice Alliance leaders.

Later again, Spyte told of his journies, and his adventure, and gave us information on what he suspected the Baron was up too. Also hinting at some of his progress in harassing them.

An entire day of staking out the suspected area, proved almost fruitless. But the night turned to our favor eventually.

I was heading home for the evening, making one final set of rounds before bedding down. It was at one stop, that I espied Jayrd. His control of the Urge seemed to be slipping. I let him know, while I was safely out of his reach, what information we had, and that we had found the final port of the Red Tide III. His eyes burned red, and he said he'd go seek out the captain there, and if we dared to follow, then we'd best use all caution.

We arrived at the Dockage of the Red Tide, but saw little. It was during a search of the town, we noticed some unruly, and unfamiliar pirates about. Steele and Demi, quickly doning disguises, chatted up the pirate. Demi, making a surpreme sacrafice, was able to get her self aboard the Red Tide III. She was able to sneak the Captains chest away, greatly distressing the priate Karl. Karl seeing his error quickly fled as did we.

We retired to the Brazen Monkey, to go over the items in the chest. Here we found various items, one being a map and a rune. With the eight people present, we decided to try the Rune.

It took us deep to a Mage's tower underground. Here we were setup on by the local evil mages. Then stranger beast came, Hell Hounds, and Fire elementals, not common to this area. Then the Baron, a Lich, made a quick try at us, but it appears we befouled his plans and he quickly departed. Finishing up those that sought to beseige us, we found a book. Stating the progress of the Baron and his troops.

Thus ends a set of rapid events. So many threads to follow, so many missing skeins.
