Welcome
to the FTC Home Page, For those who are new, or those wish to get
more out of these humble pages then this is for you.
This
site, like most, is optimised for an 800 X 600 display. If your
screen resolution is less and you are using Win95/98, you may wish
to change it. Simply right-click on the desktop and choose 'properties.'
Next, select the 'settings' tab and move the 'screen area' slider
towards 'more' until 800 X 600 is chosen.
If
you close that annoying floating ad window, then it will simply
keep coming back on top. However, if you click on a clear piece
of this window then the ad window will disappear behind this
one, it may come back once, but do it again, it won't dare come
back a second time!
All
words, which are underlined, are called links, these are the way
you move from one page to another. Just click on
the
word
and
you will be transported to that page. When the
word
changes
colour, it means you have already visited that page at some time
before, but news changes fast, so keep looking!
If
you get lost either use the BACK arrow on your browser, or click
the HOME
link,
and you will be brought back here.
There
are more links to interesting pages found on the News pages, so
keep looking there. As more news comes in, I add it to the Latest
News link and the other pages can be reached from there by using
the EARLIER
EDITION
links.
If
you let your mouse pointer hover over a word or graphic, and it
changes to a pointing hand, then that too is a link. Try pointing
to BAE
SYSTEMS at the top of this page and see what happens.
Now click on it….see.
Good you're back!
Don't forget you can e-mail me just
by clicking on the e-mail link, or by
using
big_cheese_cake@bigfoot.com
Please tell me what you like, or don't
like.

BAE
Systems and Boeing
Joint
Adventure
4th
September 2000
BAE
Systems formerly British Aerospace and Boeing
are
in discussions about a transatlantic joint venture that
could
reach fruition within months. The venture may
involve
the creation of a joint company in the Military
transport
aircraft division. A key issue raised by a deal
in
this segment would be BAE's stake in Airbus that is
80%-owned
by the European Aeronautic Defence
and
Space company (EADS). Experts believe BAE will
eventually
pull out of Airbus as it develops close links with
Boeing.
BAE shares are expected to gain after winning a
£1bn-plus
order from India for Hawk trainer aircraft. |
