Powerkit Easy Language
Codekit for TradeStation
First, understand that Trader's Powerkit is a complete and self-sufficient trading program. You don't need TradeStation or any other program to supplement Trader's Powerkit.
On the other hand, TradeStation lacks all the critical and important trading systems found in Powerkit.
Trader's CodeKit is a set of Easy-Language Codes - designed to duplicate many of the unique features found in Powerkit, and to add them to TradeStation for your convenience.
Codekit is a full set of Easy Language codes that come as .ELA and .ELS files (and also as text files, by request). This "kit" allows TradeStation users to duplicate all three breakout trading systems that are in Trader's Powerkit - and you also get "next day projection targets" displayed, just like in Trader's Powerkit.
Trader's Codekit must work within the limitations of TradeStation. Therefore it's not yet possible to duplicate the 3D Topographical charts in TradeStation. I'll be able to work around this limitation in the future, when time permits.
You still get the three breakout systems: PBS, Turtle, and Bollinger Breakout, and you can modify them as much as you want to. You can add filters, alerts, Paint-bar studies, and all the other functions built into TradeStation. Naturally, fancy mods are for those who are adept at Easy Language. But even for those who aren't, you can still use Trader's Codekit to move all of your Powerkit buy and sell decisions into TradeStation, and combine them with your own ideas and other codes obtained elsewhere. That was the whole reason why I made Codekit in the first place.
Codekit is sold either in combination with Powerkit, or to registered Powerkit users.
I originally wrote Codekit as a favor to several Powerkit clients who also happened to own TradeStation.
After a few months, I was getting many calls and emails from TradeStation users who were only interested in buying Codekit. This seemed ok to me at first, but I soon found that selling Codekit as a solo product caused conflicts with Powerkit, and that Codekit was not fulfilling the purpose for which I wrote it - helping Powerkit users.
So, until I make a version of Codekit that gives TradeStation the full interactive 3D charts and many other features of Powerkit, I'm only going to sell it to registered Powerkit users - as was my original intention.
Codekit is also "open source". It's not protected from copying, because it's purpose is to teach, to be a template and a model as well as a finished product, and to form the basis of your own code-building, if you're so inclined. As such, I sell Codekit completely on trust and honor.
I'm trying to make
sure that only serious traders get hold of Codekit. Those who'll see
the benefit of keeping it to themselves; so that my work will continue, and
improvements will keep going out to those who've supported it.

You can order both Trader's
Powerkit and Trader's Codekit at the same time, that's fine. But I won't
send you the Codekit until after you've decided that you're fully satisfied with
Trader's Powerkit and that you want to keep it permanently.
Installation is simple, and you don't need to know anything about Easy Language just to trade with the
breakout system codes and strategies. Only if you do your own modifications do you really need to learn
a lot about Easy Language.
TradeStation is a powerful tool - but many people install it and then
wonder where to start. There are just too many choices to make and too many
techniques to try -- and there's too much programming to do. You want to start trading and
gaining experience, but it takes months to learn
TradeStation, and longer to develop your own codes and strategies.
With Codekit you can get started immediately, and then expand your
knowledge of TradeStation at your own pace. Codekit emulates
most of the better trading systems available today. Most successful
systems are breakout systems -- and Trader's Codekit covers all the important
variations. These three systems will make TradeStation the valuable tool you
expected it to be when you bought it!
You can use the Code kit codes as templates for your own systems. When you know
more about programming in EasyLanguage, you can add your own stops and filters,
or modify the entry and exit rules.
I've just finished an upgrade that includes these changes and additions:
New in Code kit, Version 2:
1. Places tomorrow's targets (breakout signal levels) in the Expert Commentary window: You can now quickly load a chart and a TradeStation Strategy, click the commentary button, and get entry and exit targets for the next day, or for the next bar if using intraday data. This is similar to the target report in Trader's Powerkit.
2. Adds the original Turtle System formula -- which allows you to base exits on a shorter look-back period -- giving tighter exit stops to retain more profits: The original Donchian's rule, on which the Turtle System is based, calls for a 20-day highest-high for long entries, and a 10-day lowest-low for exits. Powerkit uses a slight variation that tightens the exit stop by raising the lower channel. But now, I've included both methods in the Easy Language formulation -- making it the most flexible and all-inclusive version of the Turtle System available anywhere.
3. Increased code explanations and usage commentary: I've added more programming comments to the code, plus general documentation. This should make it easier to use the systems for trading, and will also help you learn the coding techniques.
