OUR HISTORY

Located at the intersection of Donnelly Road, Trout Brook and County Route 28, at one time called "Johnny Cake Corner, " is O’Connor’s Bed and Breakfast. In 1847 the boarding houses, land, office building were purchased and operated by Levi Olmsted.. The land for the tannery and boarding houses and an office building was bought from Edward Talbot in 1847 by Levi Olmsted. In 1871, all the buildings and property of the tanning business were sold to Patrick O’Connor. There is a gap in our information on the house until 1901 when Henry and Maria Losee (proprietors of the bar turned kitchen) sold the 1.5 acres with the house, barn and outbuilding to Phoebe Ann McCoy for 712.50. The barn and an icehouse are still standing. **
