The land for the tannery and boarding houses and an office building was bought from Edward Talbot in 1847 by Levi Olmsted. In 1871, all the buildings and property of the tanning business were sold to Patrick O’Connor. There is a gap in our information on the house until 1901 when Henry and Maria Losee (proprietors of the bar turned kitchen) sold the 1.5 acres with the house, barn and outbuilding to Phoebe Ann McCoy for 712.50.
