Our main focus at our squadron is the Cadet Program. The other missions are important, but the cadets are the future leaders of America, so we place our focus on this program.

The cadet program has weekly meeting for the cadets. During these meetings, the cadets learn Military Drill and Ceremonies, proper uniform wear, Customs and Courtesies, Aerospace Education, various functions in the Emergency Services Mission, teamwork, leadership skills, and much more.

Some of the activities that our squadron has done for the cadets are Tours of Military Bases, Trips to the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Model Airplane Building, the Mock Space Shuttle Program, Teamwork training with the National Guard, outdoor skills classes, and a lot more fun stuff.

Our cadets are also given the opportunity to participate in a variety of Wing level activities, such as Practice Search and Rescue Exercises, disaster training, Leadership Schools, and Encampments (week long training school).

Several cadets have participated in National Activities, such as the Para rescue Jumpers Orientation Course, the National Blue Beret Activity, and a National Glider Encampment.

There are lots of activities at the local, state, and national level for cadets. To participate, they have to show a desire to advance through the cadet program.
