The
Wood-Elves became independant of the other Elves
of Mit'uen many ages ago, not wishing to follow the orders of gods or divine
rulers, and have long since left the great
elven halls for the seclusion of the deep forests of the Realms.
Most Wood-Elf cities are not connected to the main roads, or hidden in
the treetops in the ancient woods. Deep Wood-Elves will be more prejudiced
against other races, hiding their homes from any visitors, and being hesitant
before giving out personal information.
Wood-Elves are fair skinned and fair haired, and take to the fine arts of music and magic. Their high dexterity and keen eyes make them extraordinary archers. Wood-Elves are slightly healthier then other Elven races and will make highly trained warriors and soldiers. They have the natural abilities of Hiding, and Sense Life, learned from living deep in the dangerous and magical forests of Mit'uen. They also possess the ability to Detect Magic upon sight. Wood-Elves can also become excellant thieves and rangers. They are masters of craftsmanship, and although having no interest in metals or mining, they can create architecture and jewelry of superb quality. Wood-Elves are also known for their superb skills in tailoring, and can produce some of the highest quality clothing and non-metal armor in the Realms.
