Drow

Drow are the descendants of the Elves, a delicate and magical race. They have dark black skin and (typically) white or silver body hair. Unlike Elves, who reside in magical forests, the Drow live in underground cities. In accustom to their dark dwellings, Drow can see in the infrared spectrum (

infravision)

when no other light source is present. This aids the Drow if they happen to get lost in the caves surrounding their cities.

Most Drow do not respect other races and view them as inferior breeds. They will rarely leave their dark caves and refuse to learn the languages of others, accepting no visitors in their subsurface towns. But since the Drow are intelligent, many outstanding Drow have learned the ways of peace and will travel with the surface dwellers.

Like the Elves, the Drow are slender and graceful, and can be trained to be highly skilled warriors despite their inferior health and strength. They are also highly intelligent and possess great magical abilities, and are even taught to Detect Magic at an early age.
