Hi there,

I'm a fairly competent US birder (I lead field trips here in Seattle) who has traveled independently to bird in Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize and Guatemala.  I have taken organized birding tours to Venezuela, Ecuador and Trinidad/Tobago, so I'm somewhat familiar with South American Avifauna (but by no means any kind of expert). I speak rough conversational Spanish, enough to get by, anyway.

I'm exploring options for a month-long birding trip to Amazonia (Bolivia, Peru or Brazil) sometime this winter (between Nov and Feb).  My first choice for independent  travel would be Bolivia, and would be to meet up with some others who might want to join me to share expenses.  Or I would be OK with joining up with a small organized group also.

Do you have a way for me to meet up with other interested birders? Or any other ideas/suggestions.

Thanks,

Rick Romea
