Recommended Scholarships

Below are some of the scholarships you should apply to.  Things to consider:

  1. If a link does not lead straight to the scholarship, search for it on the website.
  2. If the contact information is not provided, visit your College and Career Center or Scholarship coordinator to get an application.
  3. Deadlines are not absolute and may vary from year to year.
  4. Not all schools and areas will have the listed awards.
  5. Programs that are bolded are applicable to undergraduates and/or high schools students.
  6. Before applying, beware of scholarships scams!!  Here are some warning signs:
    • Scholarships should not ask for your financial accounts or your credit information.  You should also not have to pay anything to apply.
    • Legitimate scholarships should not guarantee you the award or mention about completing the application for you.
    • Never pay for a fee-based matching service; the database should be free.

College Financial Aid Website

Visit your schools financial aid website.

Hope this helps.  Remember that the first and most important step is to find the scholarship coordinator at your high school and ask them about all the awards in your area.   If you are very ambitious about funding your education, send a scholarship request letter to any scholarship you find.   Since most applications are electronic, visit the website first if possible.

E-mail me should you find any changes in dates or awards.

Good Luck,

Chayan Vang
