DANISH AHMED
Venue : Standard Provision Stores 42, S.V.P. Road, Null Bazar, Mumbai, India

Untitled : Collage : 8 x 11 inches
The main words in the center are 'jang' which means 'war', and 'aman' which means 'peace'. On all four corners I wrote Pakistan and Hindustan with question marks around them in green and red color. On left and right extreme sides is the title of the painting 'truth=0' and 'such=0'. I deliberately made the painting such that no one can judge which side the work is up. I think it makes it more interesting that no one can understand who is at war and who is at peace....... Pakistan or Hindustan.???????
I used newspaper cuttings because we think media is the main source from where we get the truth, and in our country the newspaper is very powerful media - and so put the newspaper cuttings in a circular path to make a cycle - endless.
