Mario Kart Advance was one of the first games announced for the GBA and it's
also one of the most exiting. It looks a lot like the Super NES and 64 versions
of the game, but promises to have all new tracks. Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach,
Wario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Toad and Bowser are all the characters, just like in
64 version. The game uses Mode 7 scaling for the road and looks great. The game
can be played by 4 players with only one cartridge and a game link cable! It
supports the Mobile Adapter GB, but who knows if that will ever be released
outside of Japan. Release is scheduled for March 21, 2001 in Japan, and in July
2001 for the US and Europe.
Anticipation rating: 10/10
Great racing action. It's like having Mario Kart 64 in the palm of your hand.
The multiplayer sounds outstanding. I really would like to see a battle mode!
