Lazy K Ranch began boarding horses in 1991, and held it's first of many clinics and training sessions in 1996. 

Fran as been a serious rider for the past 14 years and began driving and training her own horses to drive for work and pleasure in 1998.

Mark and Fran have been active members of the Wadena County Mounted Sheriff's Posse since 1994, members of the Mid-Minnesota Draft Horse Association since 1999 and the Minnesota Walking Horse Association and TWHBEA since 2003.

From  1997 through 2002 Fran judged horse shows for local saddle clubs and organized several clinics, shows and events for them. Since 1998 she has organized equestrian events for St Judes Research Center. Fran organized the first Wadena County Mounted Patrol Clinic in 2003, and has turned it into an annual event with over 100 participants in 2005.  Fran has organized several training sessions and events for Wadena County Posse and multi county training events over the past ten years. She has worked with area youth over the past 12 years, helping beginner riders, encouraging horsemanship and sportsmanhip in trail riding, shows and events.
