The photo on the left is a grandfather clock built from the aftermath of the tornado in May of 1968. Trees in the yard that had fallen during the storm were cut and air dried in the residence's garage for 2 years before clock construction was even started.

Actually, three different grandfather clocks were built and two of the three were given to family members. This is the third that the owner/builder kept.

It has an 8-day movement with moving moon phase dial, 4x4 strike and westminster chimes. The complete top of the clock is hinged in the back so it opens by lifting the front of the clock face at the bottom.
