heels run over,
holes in socks,
hand-me down
pants and shirt, though
patched, always clean.
Soup-bowl style, a homemade
haircut.
Ragged hairs protrude from
ears and nostrils.
Yet hidden laughter inhabits,
and the future may disclose
millionaire-man
of the world,
