I Will be There

My gift to Ashley

My time was up, I had to go
My final thoughts, you'll never know
I closed my eyes, and went to sleep
I gave you memories, to forever keep
My loving child, child so sweet
The day will come , again we'll meet
Know in your heart, I'll always be there
I know right now, you think it's not fair
But by your side, I'll always be
With one last breath, I was set free

Live your life, the best you can
I'll be there, to give you a hand
Don't waste your time, with lots of tears
We will be together, in the coming years
When life goes wrong, as it often will
I'll give you a push, up that hill

Treat your own children, with respect and love
Cause I'll be watching, from above
Give them a kiss, each night from me
Smother them with love, this is the key
Mistakes you'll make, this I know
Don't carry them around, let them go
I wish you success, in all you do
Just take my hand, I'll help you through

All the riches, far and wide
You already have, there inside
Fame and fortune, come with a fee
The love of a child, is always free
You will be strong, when I am gone
I'll be there, You'll not be alone

LOVE MOM
