Sammy came to my door in the Spring of 96, pregnant
and with an injured eye. The nit-wit neighbor who said Sammy was hers didn't bother taking her to a vet to have her eye looked
at, had no clue she was even pregnant and had two huge dogs that ruled the roost and chased Sammy every time she tried to
go in and eat. So, I offered to take Sammy in. She was named Sammy after Sammy Davis Jr. (Her badly damaged eye eventually
had to be removed). She had her litter of 5 kittens July 15, 1996. I decided to keep two, Romeo and Digit. Romeo is a real
lover boy and Digit is a sweet baby boy who was born Polydactyl-6 toes on the front paws and 5 on the back. (Three kittens
in the litter were Polydactly). I found loving homes for the other 3.
We lost Romeo to Lymphoma, Nov. 11, 2009
6 months later-May 19, 2010 We lost Sammy to what we think was a stroke brought
on by a brain tumor.
We love you and miss you both.
