When Bess reads from the book "Walden" by
Henry David Thoreau, she begins by reading part of the conclusion. Her last sentence,
though, as the scene fades to show us a pensive Jo, is from chapter 2 of the book...
Conclusion: "The surface of the earth is soft and
impressible by the feet of men; so with the paths which the mind travels. How worn and
dust, then, must be the highways of the world, how deep the ruts of tradition and
conformity! I did not wish to take a cabin passage, but rather to go before the mast and

Chapter 2: "My imagination carried me so far that I

Stepping Out

When Jo is dipping the candles in the wax and in the water while Mr. Bridger is
there, her hands "magically" switch buckets when the camera angles change. There
is no way her hands could move that fast!

I think all your [the] shows are great but... the one where the girls Jo Meg, and
Amy went to Boston I think maybe the guys should have gone to.

In the second scene, Dan says that
Big Charlie is the biggest catfish that he and Nat have ever seen... but, later, the fish
that they show Asia and Nick is most definitely not a catfish!
The Sign
Submitted by Allison:
First, when Nick comes in and is standing by the fireplace and Jo is talking
about her birthday resolutions, Nick has his hat on. He would never leave his hat on in
the house...in "Brothers and Sisters," Nick gets on to his brother for not
taking his hat off.
Submitted by Allison:
On that part where Jo is hurt and Nick has lunch on the porch or her: How could he
have set that up without her knowing? The only way to get to that balcony is through
her room and she was in her bed all morning because she couldn't walk.
