Deep Sea World.
Friday 7th April, 2006.

Club members enjoyed a very interesting visit to deep sea world on Friday 7th April, 2006.
After enjoying a very relaxing cuppa we was treated to a very in-depth behind the scenes tour as well as all the other area's of the vast complex.

Seeing first hand the vast & sometimes complex filtration systems along with all the up-to date monitoring equipment.
We as fish keepers monitor & filter are small aquariums but this is on a very grand scale that has to be seen to be believed.
The tours are taken by Michael & Amanda who gave us an excellent talk & answered every question that the members had relating to the equipment & tanks through to the fish & their feeding.
Both Amanda & Michael where also very interested in the idea's that our members had for possible future additions.

A part of this fantastic tour was seeing the main tank from above was unbelievable, this is a view that most of the public never get to see. Finding out how they filtered & light this massive exhibit, also how do you change a light bulb over a tank full of sharks, without loosing your equipment.

These are just some of the photo's from different club members.

Kirkcaldy Aquarist Society would like to thank, Michael & Amanda for allowing us this very privileged insight into how this wonderful Aquatic underwater adventure works.
