I'm fairly new to the hobby. I have been keeping tropical fish for just over 3 years & with the help of my family & friend I'm learning different things every day.

What types of fish/tanks do you have & numbers of tanks.

I have three community tanks comprising of a 3ft, 2.5ft & a 2ft holding different types of Tetra's, whiptails & several species of Corydoras catfish.

I also have 8 smaller tanks for my Betta's & Killies.

One son, Craig & what a smart little bugger he is.

With tropical fish I have bred several species of Betta's & several types of livebearers.

I started of as do many aquarists, unsure of what & how to show fish but with help from club members I started to get the hang of it

I have been showing at Kirkcaldy table shows for this past year & I battled through & I am very proud to have won the trophy for most points in the pairs.

Other interests outside fishkeeping. If its is another club etc, give details so we cane advertise them.

My time is limited as I spend as much time with my son as I can.

last year I joined Kinghorn sailing club which is an excellent teaching club for anybody interested in water pursuits.

I was a member of the Thai-Boxing camp ”The Fighting Fit Gym” for five years so “Make My Day, Punk”

I have always had an interest in photography & I was a member of Glenrothes camera club for six years, two as their fund raiser & 4 years as their treasurer.

I have also done talks at K.A.S meeting nights on taking the perfect photo, which can be helpful for tropical fish.

Do you have any person or several persons that you admire. This can be in the hobby or family or others

Mike Dewar. Mike knows a lot about tropical fish & shares that knowledge in a fun way.

What is your future outlook within the hobby. What are yours goals within the hobby.

To keep most of my fish alive so I am able to breed them & rear the fry so I can show them in the breeders classes.

My goal would be to keep on improving my aquatic knowledge & to win more trophies next year, “SO watch out Jim's about”

How long have you served on the K.A.S committee & what posts have you held in the past up to the present.

Not bad for a new start, I have been the canteen manager for one year, Shop manager last year & I have been voted on by the K.A.S members again this year to continue as shop manager. “ Maybe I will be the President next year”
