How long have you been keeping fish? Explain how you got started etc.
I started keeping fish in 1995. I inherited a small 18” tank from a family member who had been keeping gold fish.
I went out & bought all the relevant equipment & transformed the tank to keep tropical fish; most of my advice was sought from D&I Aquatics in Lossimouth which also had a good selection of fish.
This is where I got site of great fish called
Corydoras Barbatus & Botia Sidthimunki.
Very quickly my tank was full & more, larger tanks where needed,
“I was hooked”
What types of fish/tanks do you have & numbers of tanks.
I have a 3ft Vision 180 with a selection of community fish heavily biased towards Catfish & Loaches.
I have a shed holding 20 tanks of various sizes.
What is your breeding experience?
I have just recently set up the tanks in my shed, so I have just started out on the breeding trail.
I have bred Corydoras melanotania & Corydoras Anaeus & various Killifish in small tanks.
I bred Corydoras Barbatus & Betta Tussyae & got eggs but had a disaster when the heater failed in my rearing tank & I lost all the eggs.
I am setting up a tank to try & breed panda Loaches as they look like they may be breeding in my community tank.
What is your showing experience?
I hav'nt shown much, once at Kirkcaldy Open Show & again at club Table shows. Now I have the extra tanks I tend to show more.
Other interests outside fish keeping. If its is another club etc, give details so we cane advertise them.
I like walking & Dog training.
Do you have any person or several persons that you admire/respect? This can be in the hobby or family or others. Give reasons why etc.

What is your future outlook within the hobby? What are yours goals within the hobby?
I am hoping to start my breeders Certificate this year & go on from there to complete the other two Certificates.
My future goal once I have more experience of fish identification, I would like to become a judge.
How long have you served on the K.A.S committee & what posts have you held in the past up to the present.
Come May I will have been on the K.A.S Committee for one year. Assistant Open show manager is the only post I have had.
