The Ghost that hated Pop Music: Wisconsin

I was up on AOL chatting with my friends a few days before Christmas. We were talking about all that we wanted, and things like that. Since it being after midnight, everyone else in my house was asleep. I walked down into the family room to turn off some lights. I was just turning off the light, when our stereo started playing that room. I turned it off, just thinking that someone must have set it to go off, and with it being a portable stereo, I took it with me so I could listen to music. I returned to the computer, and I left the radio next to me on the floor. I quickly told my friends that I had been thinking that someone must have set it. To quickly make sure that it wasn't anything, I picked up the stereo and exaimned it. There was no way that you could set this stereo. The book for it was in the room, so I got the book, and this stereo being older, you could not program it to go on or off at a certain time. I talked for awhile longer, then went to sleep, still confused about the radio. I didn't get to stay up late until a few days later, about two days after christmas. I had just gotten home with my boyfriend who was visiting me from Texas, where we met, and he moved there, and we still visited each other often. I asked him to go get the stereo, so we could hang out in my room, and maybe go on AOL. We were in my room, and the computer, being in the corner of my room, I was just about to turn it on, when I saw the power button go into the computer, and start it up. I had not touched the computer, and I don't know of any way that you can program a computer. My boyfriend saw what happened, and we just bypassed the thought of it being a ghost because something could have happened. We were chatting on the computer for awhile, and all of a sudden, something hit my foot. I looked down, expecting it to be my cat, but the stereo was sitting there, next to my foot. We had left it on the bed. We weren't sure what was up, so we just put it in the room next door, and used the Cd player that I had on my computer. We closed my door, wanting to have some privacy when we heard a knock. My boyfriend went to go open my door because my parents might have woken up. No one was at the door. My boyfriend and I did a quick check out of the house, and everyone was still asleep. We decided to go downstairs and get some ice cream from our second freezer down there. We ran down the stairs, and got our ice cream. My basement is sectioned off, and doors which we leave open divide the areas. We closed the freezer door, and we heard a door slam. We looked at each other, and looked around the basement. The door farthest from us was closed, but the handle was attempting to move. My boyfriend and I went over to the door. We were terrified, but we didn't think anything could hurt us. I turned the handle to the door and pushed it open. Nothing was there, but we felt a force hit us. I quickly ran up the stairs with my boyfriend behind me, and I closed the door and locked it. I went into the kitchen and got some bowls for ice cream, joking that the house didn't like it that we were still up, trying to make the situation light. My boyfriend didn't say a lot about it. We went back to my room, because his guest room was right next to it, and we were hanging out in my room. He quickly made the excuse that he needed sleep, so we said good-night and went to our rooms. I wasn't tired yet, and I had left my computer on, so I turned around and I sat down in the chair. I began to type, when my dog came in the room. Now, people say that dogs can sense things, like ghosts. I hadn't noticed it, but the stereo was in my room again. I heard some music turn on, and the stereo was sitting on my bed, flipping stations rapidly. "Don't like the station do ya?" I said outloud, just wondering what would happen. The dog looked at me. I could hear footsteps coming closer to me. My door shut itself slowly. I was scared by then, wondering what was going on. The door opened again, and my dog moved his head like his ears were getting scratched. He looked up, and he ran out of my room. I felt something coming closer to me, and I just waited to see what would happen, because at the moment, I could not have the energy to get out of my chair. Something was holding me down. The radio had started going to stations, and lots of static, and then it was dead silence. I quickly looked around my room. Nothing was there. I quickly got out of my chair, being able to move now, and ran next door to the guest room where my boyfriend was sleeping. I jumped on his bed, and he woke up instantly. I was shaking from being scared, and he told me it was nothing. I was scared, but I calmed down a little. I fell asleep with his arm around me. Early the next morning, after my parents were off to work, and my brother was still sleeping, I went back into my room. The door was closed, and when I opened it, I looked at my room. It had been trashed. My posters of my favorite bands had been torn down, there were no clothes left in my jam packed closet, and my lyrics to songs I wrote were wripped into a million pieces. I heard the sound of like marbles going around my room, and I saw that my dress was shaking. My boyfriend was with me, and he pulled me to the floor, away from my dresser. My glass jewelry box and my dresser tipped to the floor. After everything was silent, my boyfriend and I tipped my dresser back up. Everything was still intact on my dresser, but all my new Cds were broken. The glass jewelry box that should have broke, was fine. I picked up a few things, and they weren't stuck at all. We quickly fixed up my room and decided that this ghost, just didn't like music. I went on the web and was researching stuff when I found a websight about an accident that a band back in the olden days had died in a hotel fire not to far from my house. A lot of their equipment was moved to yards, not far away, and that people say that ghosts hating the new music have been haunting their houses. Maybe theirs a resonable explanation for this, maybe not.
