04/19/02- went and saw Local H last night.....man those guys fucking rock!!!! Check out my pictures from the show here.

04/17/02- XYZ is here and for sale at all our shows for only $6!!!!! We should have copies available at Tower Records and Soundgarden shortly.

04/01/02- The CD is completely done...as well as the artwork, so we should be sending it off to get printed in the next day or so. Check it out here. We decided to title it "XYZ." Yep......cha...

01/25/02- We bought a Van!!! So now life will be much easier going to shows! Oh yeah, the CD is almost done, yada yada yada.....

12/9/01- Been a while since I updated this site...we've got a bunch of new songs coming...we're working on some new shows. We've started a coverband for playing bars downtown Annapolis check it out...Uncle Ernie's Blue Crab Band. I'll try to update this more often...but we'll see what happens~

10/28/01- We recorded a few new demo's this weekend...our newest song "Dogs are better than Cats" has come along really nicely...we recorded it, and experimented with some ideas. We've finished the ever-popular "Duke of Earl/Earth Angel" remix and "I want to know you." That's it for now...see you at woods the 9th...will be a fairly short set, but almost entirely new material.

9/30/01- Our new stickers finally came in. If you would like to join our street team click here and send off your name and mailing address...we'll get some promotional stuff out to ya! If you wanna check out the new stickers click here. Other news...we wrote a new song this weekend, working title is "Dogs are better than Cats." The new recordings are coming along well...we have about 5 songs finished and about 6-7 more almost finished.

9/--/01- Mr. "Mike Q" of velvasheen got rid of the members of his band...kicking out both John and Mike (without telling us or asking our opinion). I guess he wanted some "real musicians" to pursue his "domination of the music industry", and the BZ boys weren't talented enough...YEAH RIGHT! We don't hold a grudge though...it's just kinda weak to not inform people about decisions like this.

9/02/01- Demo versions of 'Naked Girls', 'Baby I Love You', 'Existentialism 101', 'To Be Happy', and 'Come on In' were recorded this weekend. Check out www.mp3.com/brokenzipper/ for a downloadable version of 'Naked Girls' and 'Baby I Love You'. They should be up in a day or two. Keep an ear out for Broken Zipper on College radio in College Park and Frostburg.

8/22/01- The Domain name brokenzipper.net is born...no more long ass website address. Stickers and other promotional stuff soon to come.

8/7/01- John and Mike finally got the guts to blow all of their hard earned money. They built a recording studio in their basement. Instead of playing shows over the next 2-3 months they will start laying tracks towards the third BZ album. More details to come.

7/21/01- John joined his brother Mike and Mike Q as the new bass-player in Velvasheen (later kicked out without notice).

5/21/01- John returned from Ireland. Hurray!!!
