I've just seen "The Abyss." It contained, for me, the most heart-breaking scene. Gabrielle's been keeping something secret from Xena and the revelation was so painful, I just turned it off after the scene was over. I'll go back and watch the end of the show later.

So I went home last night and put the episode back in. There was an interim scene and then I was hit in the heart again! Gabrielle makes a request of Xena and I lost it! I wound up sitting on the floor watching through to the end, cuz I just couldn't get close enough to the screen (grin)

I rarely make posts about upcoming episodes, but when something affects me this much, I just want to let people know something good is coming. I don't want to give more away cuz then you won't feel it the same way I did.

I wonder if Renee knows what a corn dog is? (very evil grin)

Another modern-day story which also marks the return of Annie, Mattie and Harry from "Deja Vu All Over Again." I gather this is also going to be a "spot the web reference" show. Episodes 21 and 22 -- 5/28 and 6/4 -- Season Finale gs as AA two-parter taking place in Japan being written by Rob Tapert and RJ Stewart. Directed by Rob Tapert. Another purported plot point from the finale has made its way into the news. Don't ask me if it's true, I haven't a clue! We'll just have to wait and see. Xena Season Finale -- there's been a synopsis being passed around with a character named "Maiden" being played by an Australian actress named Melanie Morgan. I checked with Rob Tapert and the finale has not been written nor has anyone been cast. This is similar to the time when a synopsis for an episode called "Surprise Gabrielle" was being bandied about during the fifth season. That was also a fake. The title "Surprise Gabrielle" had been penciled in on the production schedule in the slot used for "Animal Attraction" when Rob knew Lucy was pregant and no one else did. It was his inside joke. Someone who'd seen the schedule decided to fool the fans with a made up storyline.
