Executive Director Education for Conflict Resolution, Inc.(ECR) is a community mediation center located in northeast Indiana.ECR offers mediation services in Huntington, Kosciusko and Wabash counties, and provides conflict resolution training in schools and communities throughout most of the state. ECR offices are located in Warsaw and North Manchester. Responsibilities Direct program operations and manage organizational development of a growing mediation and training center Provide coordination and leadership for team-oriented staff of six to eight persons Coordinate and lead fund raising and resource development program, including program-generated income grants from public and private sources Represent ECR as appropriate in the community and in meetings with donors and funding organizations Qualifications Demonstrated ability in management of small, community-based nonprofit agency Demonstrated ability in fund raising and program development for nonprofit organizations Minimum three years' experience preferred Commitment to values of community service and empowerment Strong supervisory and staff leadership skills Excellent written and oral communication skills High initiative, motivation, and creativity Ability to work within consensus-oriented decision-making processes Computer competence: word processing, data management, electronic communication Experience and training in the field of conflict resolution and mediation strongly preferred Starting salary: $28-31,000 + benefits, depending on experience and demonstrated ability Position available January 2000 Applications will be considered without regard to race, religion, color, sex, age, sexual orientation, or national origin.ECR supports the principles of equal employment opportunity.
