Comments:  This is Beau a Cockatiel, that I rescued from a group in northern Utah, he was seized from a home where the lady had several 'tiels locked in a room together, the only thing they had was a bucket of water and seed that was thrown on the floor.  All of the birds were completely wild, thin, and did not trust humans. 

Over a period of about 6 months Beau trusted me enough to let me hold and pet him without biting and hissing.  It was a large obstacle to over-come but he did it.  His cage mate (a solid white Parakeet) helped him in learning to trust me, but unfortunately "Schnee" (German for Snow) passed away do to an accident in early January 2004.
