Karl Marx: Professional and Personal Life



Professional:
Marx with his partner, Friedrich Engles founded modern socialism and communism. Marx studied law and philosophy and was inspired by Ludwig Feuerbach and Moses Hess. Marx met his partner in Paris in 1844, and were partners for life. With Engels he wrote the Communist Mannifesto and many others which attempted to lead the working class to their triumph. With Engles, Marx helped to find the International Workingmem's Association which eventually broke up due to his disputes with the anarchist, Mikhail Babuknin. "Marxism has greatly influenced the development of socialist thought; further, many scholars have considered Marx a geat economic theoretician and the founder of economic history and sociology."
Personal:
Karl Marx was born in 1818 in Trier, Germany. He was only seventeen when he bacame engaged to a women by the name of Jenny. It was soon after his eighteenth birthday that he married the woman that he loved so much. "In unhappiness and happiness, the two lifelong friends and lovers never faltered, never doubted: they were faithful unto death"(Eleanor Marx, daughter). Marx's health took a large down fall after the death of his wife but he tried his hardest to postpone his own death until his work had been finished, but it wasn't soon after her death that he died, the year was 1883.
