"Knights" will premiere on May 29th at a private screening, along with last semester's "Bend Over For What?" and three P.S.A.'s. If you're interested in attending, please contact us by May 25th. | 27 April [Thursday] Doing it for the "LOVE"!!! |
Vertov shot a wedding during this past month of April. And found out that it wasn't just a ordinary wedding. Just this past week, we learned that the couple we shot the video for needs the tape a little earlier then expected, not only because they are planning to take a trip, but also because they are part of a story for the National Enquirer television show. The show is doing a story on couples that get married and have something to do with the internet. Tho it's unclear as to really what the story is about. I'm just letting you folks know that the video we shot will be aired on their show. As soon as we know, we will tell you folks when to check it out. Vertov is also having casting calls for a new project to be filmed in May. So if you wanna get in on some of the action, send a e-mail to vertovrobot@hotmail.com saying that your interested, and give us a idea of what your schedule is like. Interviews will be held on May 7. And the production days are sometime between May 22-31. Many roles available, minor characters and extras. And remember, you don't get paid and it's some long hours. But you do get to have FUN!!! --Vertov Robot =) |

| 11 April [Tuesday] Death rides on Black Lips? err Wings!! |
Well folks, its done!!! The main production for the Community Schools project, Knights of the Undead is done. This past weekend, on Sunday was the last day of principal photography. The day started at 2:00pm and went all the way till 12:30am. The hard working and very dedicated crew of Vertov Industries, battled the beast of filming for atleast 10hrs without food or breaks. The day started off with filming the magic battle scene, infront of a low-budget green screen technology. Then moved on to Bishop Gardens. The kind people at Bishop Gardens allowed Vertov to film there for a very nice amount of time. With the help of one of the Community Schools past students from a semister ago. Vertov had a very pleasent time at that location. Thanks!! There were kids all around watching as a few of the actors pulled out there props(fake guns) and pointed them at the villian, and slowly walked towards him yelling "Get down!!" Over all tho, I must say the shoot was handled very well. And the Community Schools students did very well in sticking with this project so far. Now is editting, and then the screening. So they're almost done. Good work guys!! --Vertov Robot =) |

| 21 MARCH [Tuesday] Pushing the Tin for the Community |
Its not to long before the next Community Schools project is complete. This semister, we had a returning student, that wanted to push his skills further in the film world. He wrote a nice thick project called, "Knights of the Undead". Vertov has finished with the second unit shooting for it, and just finished one half of its principal photography this past weekend, which was a grueling twelve hour shoot. The night went long, but the footage gathered from the shoot was priceless. At tonights class at Kaimuki, the students got to view the raw footage that was shot this past weekend. Lots of laughs, warm thoughts, and hard work was being planned for the last part of the shooting. The students were given the due dates for thier EDLs (edit decision list) and are getting together to start working on it. --Vertov Robot =) |

| 26 FEB [Saturday] Access shocker! |
'Olelo: The Corporation for Community Television or "Access," as we call them, has actually been playing our shows. First they were willing to schedule the all new episode "SLEEPLESS SHORTS" and replays of "OH, WILBUR" at times that are not entirely after midnight(!) Now we found out that they are really giving us extra plays as filler! I thought only "Ronbo" got extra plays. SHORTS and WILBUR played back to back from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM this morning. I also saw the Vertrov Industries production of Hale Kipa's "videoZine" at 7:00PM this evening on channel 56. So keep watching Access latenights, because you just might see more Sleepless. --Vertovweb guy |
