Monica Bates is a professional weaver who was one of my instructors during the weaving course I took at Oideas Gael. I'm including a shot of Monica as well as two of her sheela tapestries. These photos give no indication of the size of her work--they range from the small one she is holding to over 6 feet tall! Very impressive and inspiring work...
