This line drawing is from the Horstmann illustrations to the 1851 Regulations, but the officer's overcoat is the same as that of 1861. This illustration shows the à échelle closure at the neck and the four frogs and throgs down the body. Concealed buttons are also mentioned. This illustration omits the cape.
