Dick Dale and Martin Jack

Martin Jack was filmed for a documentary on Dick Dale. Here is a tight close-up of two friends, having just completed the filming. In his 'History of Rock and Roll' class at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Music Department, Dr. Rosenblum teaches the folk root nature of "Surf Music" which Dick Dale created entirely by himself. Dick and Leo Fender worked together to design amplifiers that could handle the "Dick Dale Sound" which soon became known as "Surf." Martin Jack and Dick have been friends for years and the splitting sound of Dick Dale Music has been an influence on many of Martin Jack's Bard Rock songs -- the ones that are loud and rattle the sonic soul.
