Hello!! Welcome to Porcelina and Medellia's Rasputina webpage. This webpage officially opened umm... sometime in May 1999, Melly thinks. Porcy and Melly tend to go through updating spurts every month or so, or at least they try.

Today is April 12th, 2002
Hey Cool Kids! It's been a long time, and we have many updates for you. First of all, go and buy your copy of Cabin Fever! if you haven't done so already. They come with neat little trading cards, too! We're collecting scans of them at the moment, so pleaseplease email scans to us. And if you ever have a card that you don't want, we'll take that too. ^_^ Click here to see the cards. The liner notes to Cabin Fever have been scanned by Riley, who is most definately a Cool Kid. Check those out here. Also, Rasputina is touring! Here are the most recent concert dates..

4/14/02 New York, NY @ Joe's Pub (9 pm) click here for site.
5/07/02 New York, NY @ Knitting Factory click here for site.
5/25/02 New York, NY @ Batcave
6/06/02 Baltimore, MD @ Ottobar
6/07/02 Baltimore, MD @ Creep-Con (Sci-Fi Festival)
6/08/02 Oberlin, OH @ Earthsong (Pagan Festival)

That's a lot of shows! If you can go, do it. And take pictures and tell us all about it! In other site related news, we are moving soon. In fact, tripod wants us gone by the end of the month, because they are cutting back their hosting space... so, to space-flower.net we go! We might even have a new layout soon. Oh! Also, added an ad for Cabin Fever from Alternative Press magazine in the ads+posters section, via misc. images. It's very pretty! Oh, yes, and thanks to Gabriella, Christine, Morgan, gears, Josh and Jack for the scans. Coming soon: Cabin Fever lyrics, and more live photos on the space-flower page. I would add them now, but there is something wrong with my computer and everything takes 2+ minutes to open up. Gahhhhh.

Today is March 25th, 2002
First of all, unless we're mistaken....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELORA!!

I don't even remember where that info came from, so I hope it's right. If not, then, happy birthday whenever your birthday really is, Melora! We love you! We really do have some updates today, too. New live photos from Art (thank you once again!) from the Galapagos show, March 7th. Click here to see them. The whole page should go up there soon, hopefully! Cabin Fever coming up soon! Porcy's cat, Milo, has his birthday on April 7th. Cool, huh? He will be one.

Today is March 12th, 2002
Guess what?? This page is getting hosted!!!! Bye bye, tripod. A million thanks to Belen, who is hosting our site. We are moving very shortly. On here, there is a new photo in the group pictures section (thanks Jeff), and a big scan of the cover of Cabin Fever here. Thanks to Riley for that. We have the rest of the liner notes too, but are waiting until at least the release date to post those. Next... LIVE PHOTOS! We have tons that we just put up, at our newly hosted address. Click HERE to see them. Thanks go out to Jeff, Riley, Nicole, Kelly, and Fallon! If anyone else has more photos, we'd love to put them up. So, go take a look. They are awesome photos.

Today is February 26th, 2002
Okay everyone, we're sure that y'all love live photos and that is a damn good thing, because we have TONS coming to the page very, very soon. One particular lovely girl [Fallon!! We love you!!] e-mailed ys completely out of the blue, and then came back with something like 70 excellent photos!! And everyone should be extra excited to see the photos from Riley Manion, Porcy and I both LOVE her photography to begin with. However, this is a very busy week for both of us, I'm freakishly overwhelmed with projects and essays for school, and festival is coming up for Porcy, which means putting the bow to the strings and practicing tons. But don't fear!! We shall have the new stuff up by the weekend, we hope, and maybe a little surprise too. Oh yeah, updated the discography, but if you don't know that Cabin Fever! will be out on April 9th!!!, well, now you do.

Today is February 22nd, 2002
Once again, Arthur has established his Cool Kid status by sending us a very neat scan of the postcards from the recent concerts. And hey! The new album isn't called "Cabin Fever", but "Cabin Fever!" EXCLAMATION POINT. "Mother, they've crowned me the queen of may exclamation point!"..... millions and millions of points to anyone who can tell me what book that is a quote from. hee. So, you can (hopefully, tripod is being mean) see the postcard scan in the group (ps- this is a link..) images section, and the postcards and stickers section. It's very cool. We were told that the little cover art picture in the corner has a sheep herder or something on it. Melora's label is called "Sheperdess", I believe.. so maybe that's where that came from? I thought I had something funny to tell everyone, but I can't remember...

Today is February 21st, 2002
Many updates today! Let's make a list.
1. Cabin Fever: The official release date is APRIL 9th. The track listing, as reported by several sites, is as follows:

1/gingerbread coffin
2/thimble island
3/state fair
4/sweet water kill
5/remnants of Percy Bass
6/rats
7/clipped
8/PJ+Vincent & Matthew+Bjork
9/my orphanage
10/crosswalk
11/hunters kiss 12/ourlies
13/antiquehighheelreddollshoes
14/cooped
15/a quitter

Track 8 is reported to be a narrative of hypothetical dinner conversations between those people. Interesting! We've heard that the artwork was done (or maybe just partially) by Ryan Obermeyer, same guy who did the art for Lost & Found. There are postcards with the cover art, have you seen them? We haven't.
2. 12 tales: is now available. Get your copy and listen to Hunter's Kiss! It is tres excellent. We'll type up the stories written by Melora later on.
3. Concerts: TONIGHT, in DC. If you're there, take photos. I will tell you that telepathically, now, if necessary. What is the setlist? I bet it's good.
4. Photos: One new photo, a promo for Cabin Fever. YES! It's georgous. Go and see, in the group images section. There are photos on the way from recent and current live shows. Stay tuned.
5. Setlists: The most recent show, at the Batcave, was a release party for 12 Tales. Rasputina played the following tracks: Hunter's Kiss, Antiquehighheelreddollshoes, Sweetwater, Rats, Fire and Ice and New Zero. Photos? Please?
6. Lyrics: Hunter's Kiss lyrics now available. There are one or two lines I am not clear on, want to help?
7. Misc.: Riley shared this photo of Julia with us, thank you! It is up in the other bands section.
8. More: Porcy has hiccups. Melly has a cold. Lovely!

Today is February 7th, 2002
Hey everyone, some neat updates today! The most exciting of which being the six new group images, from Smug Magazine (1999). They are so pretty, thanks a million to Matthew for sending them to us. I wish I had that magazine! Also, an image of a TFTE cloth-case, which may have been a contest prize back in 1996. It's a little watermelon-boy! Art sent us a scan of the setlist from the Dumboluna show back in December, and you can find that in the Hodge Podge (misc images) section. Perhaps there should be a section just for setlist images? Maybe. Last but not least, some info was added to the Discography (how DO you pronounce this, anyway?), regarding Melora and a band called Plexi. Thanks again to the aforementioned Matthew! Only five days until the release of "12 Tales", and only six days until Melly's birthday! Yahoo! Also, to all who have signed our guestbook- thank you!!! We like to whine about how no one ever signs it, but really, that's not true. A lot of wonderful people have left comments, it's great! I (porcy) finally found some songs by that "Rachel's" band that has been compared to Rasp. Some of it was nice, some of it was boring, and sounded really nothing like Rasptuina. Oh, and regarding the newly added pictures.. hey, don't steal them, ok? Not unless you have the permission of whoever scanned em in. Don't make us be whiny internet girls, we don't like to have to email people and ask them to remove other people's photos. And on a happier note, hey, it's sunny today and that is nice.

Today is February 3rd, 2002
Hey Cool Kids, it's Melly, nothing new uploaded, just some concert news to share with the masses!

Thursday, Feb. 21 Alchemy presents Rasputina Nation, 1015 Half St. SE, Washington, DC Doors at 9 p.m. " Performance at 10:30 Sharp All Ages " $12 Cover ($7 for front room only) More info: www.alchemy-dc.com or 202-554-1500

Woowoo!! In other news, it is 10 days until my 19th birthday! Porcy and I had Knitting Knight on Friday and we would like to consider it a smashing success. We ate popkorn and kninnamon hearts. And I have decided to plug the following sites, because I love them and Cool Kids run them: [sixsixfive][rileymanion][theforest]. Um yeah. Those are just some sites I visit a lot and thought everyone else might want to see them. Okay then, arrivederci!

Today is January 16th, 2002
I had to think about the date for a minute, since it is after mid-night and therefore is the next day. Some fun updates today! First, some new images. In the hodge-podge image section, there are three pieces of artwork by Melora that were in a D.U.M.B.O art show of sorts until Oct. 2001. I'm not sure when the show started though.. she was on of many artists to contribute. And, had you seen them, you could have purchased prints for only $25. I bet many Rasp fans would have paid much more! Anyway. Next: a pretty screen capture of Rasputina from their first Conan O'Brien show! Find it in the Conan O'Brien section. And third, Melly made a fun "Which Rasputina Character Are You?" with banners and everything, but sadly.. envy.nu does not allow external image linking! Anyone want to host this for us? It's small and we would love you forever. Until then, take the quiz here, just don't use the html anywhere, because it won't work.. yet! So, please help us. That's all for tonight, and it is very much bedtime. Goodnight!

Today is January 13th, 2002
HEY COOL KIDS!! Some damn exciting news to share with you all: According to the News Bunny, Rasputina's *NEW* album, titled "Cabin Fever", will be out in March, with touring to accompany!! Porcy and I are so very excited... could this mean there is the possiblity of us ACTUALLY seeing Rasputina live?! We certainly hope so! If you want Rasputina to come to your city, you can send them an e-mail at cellorock@aol.com, with the name of your city in the subject line. If you don't want them to come to your city, then send them an e-mail anyway, with "Vancouver" as the subject. We have also read a rumour of some sort of art compilation, including Melora's art? Very interesting indeed. Well, no further updates, though there may be some big changes in the future. Stay tuned!

Today is January 10th, 2002
Updates! Real updates! Here you will find: New photos from the Dec. 7th "Dumboluna" show, Information for the upcoming Club Laga show, and.. Melly was rambling about something else she was going to put up, but I forget what it was. So-- click here to find the new photos in the live images section. See sections "xv" and "xvi". They are so fabulous, a billion thanks to Arthur, who may as well be official Rasputina-concert-photo-taker! If you're in the Pittsburgh area, prepare for a new Rasputina concert at Club Laga! Here is all the info you should need for it.. and note, tickets are already on sale... better get them soon!

Today is December 24th, 2001
Helloooo, tomorrow is Christmas! Melly wasn't excited until yesterday, and Porcy says she's skipping Christmas and celebrating Trading Spaces Day instead. Tomorrow is actually Singular Day, and the 26th is Plural Days (get it?). Our gift to you is a spanking new Rasputina interview, from the very cool magazine, The Sentimentalist. It's so pretty, you would all like it. Sadly, no exciting new photos in the article, but the article is damn good. Interview, I mean. Read it! Or, go the long way and find the interviews/articles section. Porcy and Melly are also in the process of putting up their also spanking new bios. Check later for those in the clutter section. Happy Holidays to all! Happy Trading Space Day (note, singular!).

Today is December 16th, 2001
Greetings from the snowy north of Canada! Updates are minimal today, while snow is.. lots! We've heard good things about the last show, and here is a setlist for you, compliments of Art!

Trenchmouth Sister Sleep Crosswalk Stumpside New Zero Orphanage Hunter's Kiss Any Old Actress Diamond Mind Sweetwater Fire & Ice Rats It also had "Zodiac" on there, but it wasn't played.

So, there you have it! The previously called "Ocean Song", is actually called Sweetwater, we believe. Photos and reviews from this show and the past few still coming!

Today is December 6th, 2001
Hey Cool Kids! Yesterday Porcy read the first Harry Potter book, and enjoyed it. Sadly, her little sister has hidden the second book somewhere, and Porcy cannot find it. So- updates! We have added many new pictures from the Fez show.. many thanks to Tim for those photos! A new photo in Fan art, and one in Misc (autographs), also from Tim. Yahhhh Tim! SO- Raspy show tomorrow, go see it! We wish we were going. But hey, up here in Canada, there's SNOW, so there. My cat Milo says hi, and so does Hammy the space hamster. Did you know that you can buy mini igloos for hamsters? They're pretty darn cool. (ha ha ha, get it??) Anyway. We're working on actually putting up bios, and adding new fanart by the amazing Gabriella. She's a Cool Kid, for sure.

Today is December 3rd, 2001
Soon, we will be able to write 2002. Crazy, huh? Porcy is a big idiot and said that Molly's photos were from Dracula's Ball, but in truth, they were from the Fez show, on the 23rd of October. Speaking of Rasputina concerts, there's one this weekend, on the 7th. Here's what Melora says:

Rasputina to perform at big warehouse party!
This is what used to called a rave, we believe.
Friday, December 7th @ 11:00 p.m.
10 Jay St., Brooklyn
Top Floor
$10
lunatarium.com for directions & more information

All you New Yorkers must go to the show and tell us about it. Write reviews and send photos, we love that stuff. Instant fame for all who do so.

Today is November 28th, 2001
Hey Cool Kids! Today we have an exciting update. A very sweet Rasputina fan named Molly sent me (Porcy) some photos from the Fez show. After much scanning and cropping, they are up in the live photos section. I saw many people with cameras in the audience in Molly's pics, where are you now? Send us scans of your photos. ^_^ See Melora's new hairstyle, and their neat costumes. Nana is barely visible in any of the pictures, but it looked like she was wearing a red corset and a silver-y skirt. So.. a big thank you goes out to Molly! Yay!

Today is November 20th, 2001
Hi everyone! As some may already know, we have -finally- made a new mini-poll, go vote! In the fan section. What were the results of the last poll, you ask? Here they are:

What is your favourite Rasputina recording?
Thanks for the Ether: 52%
How We Quit the Forest: 27%
Misc (b-sides, remixes, etc):20%
The Lost & Found: 0% (aww, poor Lost and Found, we still love you.)

Other than that, not too many updates. Check the official Rasp newsbunny for some stuff. We have photos from the October concerts coming soon! Apparantly our counter has reached 20,000! WE LOVE YOU! Much thanks to those who visit and enjoy (we hope!) our site. Oh, and go and see Halo's Rasp site. He has an exclusive interview with Melora, much info about the new album!

Today is November 3rd, 2001
Okay Cool Kids, I, Melly, have the unfortunate news that we have taken down the MP3's of X-Walk and My Orphanage, but don't fret just now... I have some very, very wonderful news to make up for it!! Hmm, I think this deserves a big font:

"We are in talks with a nice little label, and it looks like we'll have a new album out in March, and get to do some touring."

Okay, I will give you ONE guess as to what THAT pertains to!! I think Melora deserves the title of Ultimate Cool Kid, and I don't think anyone will dispute me on that. ^_^ Now, excuse me whilst I jump about like a giddy child. Yahoo! *jumps away yelling incomprehensible noises of pure, unadulterated joy*

Today is November 2nd, 2001
Hey, remember that top secret new song? We've got it for your listening pleasure. Find it in the Songs + Sounds. The lyrics are up as well. Enjoy!

Today is still Nov. 1st, 2001
Just added a concert review of the Dracula's Ball show, by Lori. Read it (it's good!) in the concert stories section, which you can find in the fan section. More coming soon. Psssst- top secret info.... Rasputina has a new song, called Gingerbread Coffin.

Today is November 1st, 2001
Hey Cool Kids, don't ya all wanna dance up on me? Okay, I'm going to turn off the radio right now, because I think only Porcy would actually appreciate the fascinating wonder of "Slave 4 U". So yaaaaaaaaaahooooooooo!, we hear the concert at Shampoo went wonderfully! Here's a setlist, with guesses, of course, on all new song titles:

Stumpside
Sister Sleep
The New Zero
X-Walk
Signs of the Zodiac
Ocean Song
The Hunter's Kiss
My Orphanage
Rats
Rusty the Skatemaker
Diamond Mind
Transylvanian Concubine
Things I'm Gonna Do

And guess what?? Once again, Porcy and I didn't get to see the show. Damnit all. One day, do you all hear me, ONE DAY!! Oh yeah, and reviews and pictures [hopefully] coming soon to a webpage near you!!

Today is October 31st, 2001
Happy Halloween!! I'm sad that we couldn't put up our special one-day "spooky" edition of the page, but that's just fine, since I am still excited by the winter layout. No real updates today, but Rasp is playing a show tonight! Shampoo club in.. I forget. Philedelphia or somethinglike that. We have concert reviews from both the Fez show and the Shampoo show coming up soon, along with photos from hopefully both concerts. Keep checking back for those.

Today is October 24th, 2001
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! The new layout is here!! We love it!!! We can't take credit for the beautiful graphics, as it was all the work of haloless!! We love him lots. He and Porcy slaved away all night fixing the page up last night. However, there is one more really, really rad thing coming, it will be up later tonight. You'll know what it is when you see it. There are various new things up on the page. The concert last night at the Fez went great, Rasp reportedly played some new new songs. Here is the setlist, with some guesses on the new song's titles

Wish You Were Here
Calling Your Name
Sister Sleep
My Orphanage
Ocean Song
Any Old Actress
Remnants of Percy Bell
The New Zero
Rusty the Skatemaker
Hunter's Kiss
Sign of the Zodiac
Why Don't You Do Right?
Diamond Mind
Fire and Ice

Ahhh, that makes me even more excited about the prospect of a new album! ^_^ Pictures and reviews from the show, coming up soon. Please check back later today for the nifty surprise thing that we're waiting on. We can't thank Haloless enough for doing this design for us.

Today is October 23th, 2001
Hi Cool Kids!! You know that awesome picture of Milo on the front page? Well, enjoy it while it lasts, because it won't be there for long! The new look is coming, but just to warn you, it doens't work in Netscape. And a special hint! Make sure your speakers are on. It's a surprise! So. Yeah. updates. I sorted out the misc. images, they now are in sections, and some of the stuff got appropriately moved to the fan section. ^_^ Oh yeah, and there's a Rasputina concert tonite! In New York. Be there or... um, be like us, stuck at home. (so tragic, really!) We added our site to the "Rasputina Top 100", so if you like our site, you can vote for us! The banner is on the main page... Thanks to all who have voted for us already! ^_^ We love you. In totally unrelated but fun news, Melly and Porcy are going on their honeymoon this weekend, to Vancouver BC, because they are a couple.... of losers. They are very excited about this trip. "Chinese food!" they say. "Shopping!" they say. "Rainy Vancouver weather!" they say. It shall be a blast. We'll take pictures and post em, maybe. Did you know? Porcy has decided to become an old fashioned bank-robbing-train-riding-gun-slinging robber. PS- Porcy's birthday, 6 days and counting. Be excited. ^_^

Today is October 18th, 2001
Hey, did you see that really cool picture on the front page? Wow, it's awesome! Actually, we have a really cool new look coming soon! Yes, it's true. A fabulous new look is being designed for the site by a very cool guy who we love, haloless. You can see his Rasputina site, The Forest, here. We are very excited by this. We are also excited by the fact that there is a Rasputina concert coming up, even though we will not be attending. We're counting on you guys to help us live the fantasy of actual being there... photos, reviews, anything! Another thing that is cool is Raspy AOL chats, heh heh. You can send an instant message over to Porcy (Viola Coin) or Melly (Melly Gloworm) if you feel like it. Viola not as in the instrument. ^_^; So.. yep. Be on the lookout for a new, wintery look. Even though winter is not quite here.

Today is October 14th, 2001
Porcy and Melly want a new layout for their site, but can't think of anything. Email them with cool ideas. No new updates today, but a bit of news. Raspy concert coming up on the 23rd, at the Fez with Eleni Mandell. The Offical Rasputina Websitehas a bit of a new look! An addition to the main page, really. Word has it that a brand new original album is coming out soon. Of course, this will excite Rasputina fans one and all.

Today is October 5, 2001
Hello, this is Porcy bring updates to you! I promise, no run on sentances. I GOT MY ETHER SHEET MUSIC TODAY!!! AND A T-SHIRT! Even though I didn't order a shirt, Melora sent it because the music took so long to arrive. ^_^ No complaints from me! Oh, and I got a couple of those "Rasp Rocks" deer stickers.. whee!! Since today was such a Raspy day for me, I did some major updating. FIRST- the Rasputina lyrics you know and love were not always as they are now! Melora wrote other lyrics for the songs you already know, but many were not used! We've got them for you, in the lyrics section. Did you know that it used to be the Herb Girls of Auschwitz? Or the Ectomorph? Go see!! There are tons of new pictures in the Misc. images section. My Ether music came with cool pictures for many of the songs! All scanned for your viewing pleasure, as well as the covers of the binders and such. New fan art added as well!! Gabriella sent us a bunch of cool art that she did, inspired of course, by Rasputina. And a note to all with webpages, PLEASE please don't steal our scans. We're trying to stay original, and it's hard when people take our stuff. ^_^;; Bye cool kids!

Today is October 2, 2001
Happy October to everyone! October is a super cool month because it is my birthday, and Halloween! And Canadian Thanksgiving, and my mom's birthday, and my friend's birthday, and my cousin's birthday, and there are Raspy concerts, and Rufus is going to be on tv for a whole hour, and the new season of Buffy is starting, and the leaves are beginning to change colour, and did I mention that it will be my birthday? and not to mention that I (porcy) updated tonight, small updates, in fact there would have been more but now that I have Paintshop Pro 7, I can no longer make thumbnails because they keep turning black and white and I have no idea why, that's ridiculous, but there still are updates, regardless of the Paintshop Pro 7 issues, and they can be found in the misc. images section because Gabriella sent me some cool pictures and I figured that I should put them up tonight because that's what updates and pictures are for, and I don't like Michael Jackson, I just can't appreciate the music video or his singing or or frightening appearance or anything, but on the other hand, Hawksley is really cool and he's playing in Vancouver in 2 days and I am sad because I can't go and see him, not being 19 and the other day there was a very beautiful (yes, beautiful) guy on the bus who had a nice cord jacket and...... okay, that's enough of that. The new Garbage album came out today, I'm not sure what I think of that yet, as I have not heard it.
