Mujahedins in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Penetration of Islamic terrorism into Europe

Mujahedins imposed absolute Islamic order in Teûanj .
"Fertilization week" introduced for 17 to 40-year old Muslim
women by the order of Muslim regime . UNPROFOR Turkish
battalion includes 150 Bosnian and Sandcak Muslims

The Muslim army in the former Bosnia and Herzegovina has
become a true haunt for Islamic fanatics from all parts of
the world. The mujahedins who are instructing the domestic
Muslims also in the rigid enforcement of Islamic laws, can be
seen in largest numbers mostly in the units of the so-called
Muslim Defense Forces (MOS), and there are several thousand
of them. They are acting as instructors, religious commissars
and unit commanders increasingly. The mujahedins treat the
               Croats and Serbs absolutely equally.

               Green legionnaires

The Muslim army included right from the beginning several
units consisting of Jihad warriors mostly, and their ranks
are now being joined increasingly also by domestic Muslims
who had received appropriate religious and political
               training.

The biggest Mujahedin units are stationed in Zenica. The
Seventh MOS Brigade consisting of mujahedins mostly, includes
a battalion whose task is to sow the green terror, i.e., to
see to the forcible enforcement of the fundamentalist Islamic
laws in Zenica itself, the so-called green town. For example,
women are not allowed to walk in the streets there wearing
short skirts, and the older ones have to wear veils. Young
men and women must not be seen embraced in public, and those
seen hugging and kissing in parks and elsewhere, are beaten
up. Young men wearing earrings and the like also get beaten
up by these "enforcers of Islam".

Besides the Seventh MOS Brigade, Zenica is also the
headquarters of several other similar units, such as the
Green Legion which is a reinforced battalion, and the
               Guerilla, a standard battalion.

The members of these units have distinguished themselves
particularly in their brutality to the Serbs who had not
managed to reach the free territory, and in the ritual
slaying of the prisoners of war. They were also the chief
executioners at the time of the fiercest clashes between the
Muslims and Croats in Central Bosnia.

Al Mujahedin, a company-strong mujahedin unit, is stationed
in Teûanj. The pictures of the severed heads of three Serb
fighters, with members of this unit standing above them, were
circulated worldwide in 1992. The mujahedins have imposed a
true reign of terror there. They have gone so far in this,
that they issued an order through the local radio station in
July last year to the effect that all girls and women from 17
to 40 years of age must get married and bear children. Also
the "week of fertilization" was proclaimed in that order.
Even Alija Izetbegovic himself paid a visit to the
Kakanj-based Black Swan mujahedin brigade, which is currently
deployed on Mount Vlaûic, as to his most loyal warriors and
religious fanatics. Incidently, he went there from Sarajevo
with UNPROFOR assistance. In Konjic, there is a mujahedin
unit, the Muderiz (the Teacher of Islam), which cooperates
closely with the UNPROFOR Malaysian battalion stationed
there. Their cooperation is so good that during an attack on
the Serb positions last year, the troopers from that UNPROFOR
battalion towed artillery pieces and positioned them in the
Zvekuûe locality east of Konjic, for the mujahedins. Besides
that, there are also several centres for the training and
"adaptation" of the mujahedins coming from the Islamic
countries, the biggest one of which is in the village of
Mehurici, about 7 km east of Busovaca in Central Bosnia.
Another one is in Pazaric, 30 km east of Sarajevo, where also
an international Islamic brigade has been formed, and yet
another in Bistricak, a former holiday camp for the workers
of Zenica iron & steel works, about 25 km north of Zenica.

               COOPERATION BETWEEN UNPROFOR AND MUJAHEDINS

Interestingly enough, the mujahedin units in which the
citizens of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan,
Malaysia, Egypt, Algeria, Iran, Libya and some other Islamic
countries prevail, are stationed mostly in the areas of
deployment of UNPROFOR units from the Islamic countries
(Turkey, Malaysia and Pakistan in the first place), which are
factually in the service of the Muslim army in the former
               Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the Zenica-stationed Turkish battalion alone, there are
150 Bosnian and Sandcak Muslims who went to Turkey in 1992
for training and schooling. They are back now, as bogus
UNPROFOR troopers in the Turkish battalion. Besides that,
mujahedins are being recruited in many Islamic countries with
the assistance of the "blue helmets", after which they are
transferred to the former Bosnia and Herzegovina in UNPROFOR
convoys. Such transport is financed by Islamic countries,
Saudi Arabia in the first place, through a Cyprus-based bank.
Neither is negligible the sum paid for "silence and services"
to Croatia, through whose territory are transported not only
the mujahedins, but also arms and other materiele. The funds
involved are credited to a specialized Croatian bank based is
               in Zagreb's Sesvete suburb.

The UNPROFOR command is still tolerating such a conduct of
its units and even prompting it to a certain extent. It is
doing so in the first place by selecting the information to
be transmitted and by involving the whole apparatus of
UNPROFOR, UNHCR and other international humanitarian
organizations. For example, in a contact programme of the
Muslim Radio Bihac broadcast on 26 June last year, a listener
               called and said: "Our best unit is the Malaysian battalion;
the French are the second best, while the Bucim Brigade is
lagging behind them." This is self-explanatory.

Not in a single case have the UNPROFOR officials condemned in
the last few months the Muslim offensives launched during the
cease-fire, but they lost no time in reacting when the Serb
army repelled the Muslim offensives, as was the case near
Bihac and on mts.Vlaûic and Majevica, accusing the Serbs of
               breaking the agreement.

It is no wonder then that not a single international
institution dealing with the observance of international law
and martial law has reacted to the existence of mercenaries
and their atrocities towards the Serbs, as members of the
Muslim army under Alija Izetbegovic's leadership.
