This page show more views of the Burrell Homestead. You can see the Federal style in these views. They were done in the fall to get a better view of the interesting woodwork.
The above photo shows the back of the house. In the lower part of the back section was the original kitchen, with a baking oven. The basement has a brick floor. In the Basment the oak beams wich support the floors can be seen. Some of the beams are tree trunks cut in half, and some of the bark is still there. The photo below is of the parlor fireplace. The mantle is a federal style with elaberate carvings in it. The parlor was used only with guests would call on the Burrell's mostly on Sunday.
