"It's time for your medication, Dr.Hojo. May I come in?"

I squint up at the faint light through the peep-hole. Ever since I came here, I've seen so little light....

I hear keys jangle and the lock click. A docter wanders in with a tray of "medication".

"Here, Dr.Hojo. This will help you sleep." I peer up at the docter's eyes, noticing she even has a patronizing look in her eyes. I reluctantly swallow the pills, only because I remember what the guards do if I have a fit....

The docter silently leaves, taking with her the light from the hallway. I sit silently, even though I'm screaming on the inside to be released. I stopped doing that outloud when my voice dried away.

They were ingenious when they devised a punishment for me. When I say they, I mean "Cloud and Company". Soon after murdering my only child they discovered I was still alive, and had me committed, "for my own good". But I'm not crazy, I just love....loved....my son. Is that so wrong?

My dear...dear...Sephiroth. A light I only meant to brighten when I gave him to science. I wanted to provide him with everything, including a perfect body and mind. He should've shined just as bright as his mother....my...poor...Lucrecia.....who was taken from me...seduced by that..."Turk"....turned against me in the time I most needed her support to enhance our child.

Yet, I am the one that is at fault. "I" created a monster. "I" killed Lucrecia. "I" messed with Vincent. You know what? I guess I did. But I feel that I had every right, to do anything and everything for my son. If I'm "crazy" for loving my son, so be it.

As the drugs take their effect, my thoughts turn to my son once more. To his mother, to life during the first month of her pregnancy. I see the peep-hole open a bit as my lids get heavier, and see that light.....but it just gets dark again.
