Are you thinking about joining the adventure of Boy Scouting? This page and other linked pages will give you just about everything you need to know about joining Troop 163.

First you must complete a Boy Scout application and turn it in to the Scoutmaster with your registration fee.  After joining, you will receive a packet of information including the following items.

Second, have your parent or guardian complete the Parental Consent Form, have it notarized, and turn it in to the Troop Scoutmaster.

Third, visit your doctor and have them complete your Class 2 Personal Health and Medical Record, then turn a copy in to the Troop Scoutmaster.

Pay particular attention to the Information Packet of Troop 163. This contains our laws and by-laws.

Frequently check the Yearly Calendar for activities, dates and updates.

The Troop's yearly  registration fee is $33.00, pro-rated by which month of the year you originally register with Troop 163. Each additional year in late November when you re-register with Troop 163 requires the payment of the $33.00 fee. (Funding is available in some cases. See the Scoutmaster.)

The registration fee includes the required Boy Scouts of America joining fee and a subscription to Boy's Life Magazine.

The yearly registration fee is set by the Troop Committee, and is subject to change in reflection of our troop finances.

Adult Volunteers register for just $7.00 per year, pro-rated by month, which includes a subscription to Scouting Magazine and the Atlanta Area Promise.
Parents are encouraged to join the Troop Committee, which supports the Troop, with monthly meetings.
