Frequently Asked Questions
by Steve Wingate, TCGOB Publisher

Q: What is the correct gap for the muffler bearings on my 1965 Camaro? submitted by Greg in LA
A: Ah ha!  A trick question!  You can't fool us.  Everybody knows darn well that '65 Camaros don't have muffler bearings.  Muffler bearings didn't become standard until '66.  You Californians think you're so smart... always tryin' to put one over on us Southerners.

Q: How come your site has those annoying banners and pop-up ads?
A: Because I'm broke.  However, if you'd like to send me a whole lot of money, I' be happy to move the site to a paid server.

Q: Are you a mechanic?
A: No.  I'm not qualified to even be a mechanic's hand towel.  (read the TCGOB disclaimer)

Q: What kind of car do you drive?
A: A 1997 Honda Passport, and a 1984 Trans Am.  Only I don't actually drive the Trans Am-- it just kind of sits there because I can't figure out how to get the hood open.

Q: How come you don't put your picture anywhere on the site?
A: Because I want people to come back to my web site.

Q: Hey car guy... how can I squeeze more ponies out of my 383 stroker?
A: Have you tried napalm?

Q: Well then what qualifies you to run a website like this?
A: Three things.... a computer, an Internet connection, and a pulse.

Q: Can you tell me where I could find a Corvette Mako Shark?
A: In the garage of a very very rich Corvette collector.

Q: Is it true that you are related to Richard Petty?
A: Yes.  However, he's a cosmetics sales rep, not a NASCAR team owner.

Q: Cool.  Think he could set me up with some eye shadow samples?
A: I'll call him tomorrow.

Q: Do you get paid to do this?
A: No, I'm just obsessed, and if I don't channel all of this creative energy somewhere, I'll get a stomach ache.

Q: Are you retarded?
A: No, just special.
